Project Payday Product Overview

So what is Project Payday? Essentially, it is a program where you can make money in 2 ways:

#1) Complete cost per action (CPA) offers

If you are unaware what a CPA offer is, it is simply when a company pays you to find leads for their business. The lead, which is either you or someone you referred, has to complete an online form. The form then is sent back to the company that sponsored the CPA offer.

Sounds great right?

The catch is that many of the offers require credit card or personal information before they will pay you. These could be offers such as monthly subscription services for wine clubs, magazines, or jewelry. The trick is to cancel the service before you begin to start getting charged for it.

This can be difficult however as you can’t cancel right away as you won’t get paid. From what I’ve read, usually around 5-6 days is a good time to cancel. Even then though, you may still get charged and then have to deal with fighting for a refund.

Sounds like a big headache to me!

#2) Get referrals to Project Payday and have them complete the offers

First off, in order to qualify for the Project Payday referral program you do need to complete 1 CPA offer. People have realized that in order to make real money on Project Payday, it’s through referrals and to have the referrals complete the forms for them.

This is the reason that there is still so much interest in Project Payday, even though some of their site content is over 10 years old!

The problem is though that most people do not have the affiliate marketing skills to accomplish this, and they certainly will not acquire these skills with the porous training offered through Project Payday. Ultimately, many people fail.

Pros and Cons of Project Payday

Pros:

  • There is the ability to make money on Project Payday, however you need to be highly organized in order to cancel services before incurring charges.

Cons:

  • There is financial risk in providing your credit card and personal information for the CPA offers. Even if you cancel the service promptly, you still may get charged and then have to dispute the charges.
  • Site content is outdated and a lot of the methods they recommend to get referrals are no longer available since the testimonial videos were published in 2006.

Project Payday Tools & Training

There are 6 sections of training that cover the above methods to make money as well as ways to implement these methods through social networks, traffic exchange networks, article directories, and personal referrals. Accompanying the training sections are 14 videos as well that pretty much reiterate what is in the training text.

As far as other resources, you also get links to third party sites where you can earn additional income. A couple of these were survey sites and another was Traffic Brokers, where you act as the “middleman” between sites that receive a high amount of traffic and advertisers who want to pay for the traffic.

Project Payday Support

There is a mentoring section where you supposedly connect with successful Project Payday users who will give you advice on how to achieve success. Personally, I am always skeptical whenever I see the word mentoring as it is typically an upsell where they expect you to purchase additional services to get this “expert” advice. Needless to say, I did not try this.

My Final Opinion of Project Payday

There is the potential to make money with Project Payday, however for the novice it is not recommended as much of the training and overall site content is lacking and outdated. Another drawback is the fact that you must provide your credit card information in order to complete the cost per action (CPA) offers, which is always risky.

You also need to be a highly organized person to be successful with Project Payday. In my opinion, it is not worth the headache of tracking the CPA offers then worrying whether you cancelled the service either too early or too late just to earn a few bucks. Add to the fact you may have to fight to get a refund, it just does not seem worth the time or effort.

VERDICT: LEGIT

The product is legit, however there are much better products available!

Hello, I had heard of Project Payday, but did not know what it really was. It seems like a simple way to make some extra money, but I do not like the fact that they want your credit card information. I tried something similar to this platform, but I had the problem, I did cancel in time but the item was charged to me anyway. Do you have to pay for offers to make money? Great review!
    Kind Regards,
    Linda

Hi Linda, unfortunately with CPA offers you first need to provide your credit card information in order to complete the offer. This is one of the main reasons why I stay away from products such as Project Payday as it feels like your rolling the dice every time you provide your credit card information, then you need to worry about getting charged for the service! There are much better products available to earn online income and I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate. You can read my review here. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. thanks!

I have tried CPA offers before and you’re right, the whole thing is a huge headache. LOL. However, there were even free offers which required your credit card details before hand but I wasn’t happy about it. Some companies even made it quite difficult to cancel the memberships/subscriptions too.

I can see Project Payday being for the people who do like to sign up for offers but with the outdated training, personally I wouldn’t be able to trust the program when it comes to referring new members. I think with the cons you’ve listed, they’re enough to put people off this program.

I’ve just checked out your #1 recommendation and it’s a much more effective way of making money online. 🙂

    Cheers
    Neil

Thanks for the comment Neil. I agree that the CPA offers are more of a headache then they’re worth. Anytime you have to provide credit card information you run the risk of getting charged. I’m sure you’re like me and don’t have free time to fight with these companies for a refund! I’m glad you agree that my #1 recommendation, Wealthy Affiliate, is a much more effective method to making money online. Best of all, it’s FREE to join. No credit card necessary! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
